Structured course empowering you with the knowledge to excel in all stages of the VTS recruitment. This course demystifies the selection process and provides a step-by-step guide to each of the four stages:
Registration 0900: Close of day 1710
Stage 1 - Application form run through; what to do and what to avoid Stage 2 - Structured clinical questions and professional dilemmas Stage 3 - Assessment Centre Day; individual requirements of Simulated Surgery, variety of role play situations & Prioritisation Skills Stage 4 - Allocation & offer
This intensive one day course will give ample opportunity for question-answer feedback with a take-home file consisting of additional questions/scenarios and hot topics in general practice.
Stage 3 In-Depth Course: £215
This exclusively designed one-day GPST/VTS Stage 3 course is an intense and highly interactive course, focussed solely on Stage 3 assessment. We will fully prepare you with all the information and techniques needed to be successful in getting through in the ever changing structure of the VTS selection process.
New to the 2011 applications is the increased number of role play scenarios and omission of the group task session from previous years. This course has been updated and adapted to keep the candidate abreast and on top of the selection process.
We shall ensure maximum participation and interaction within all small group teaching.

Summary & Feedback
GP Select will ensure you have all the up to date information on Hot Topics and recent changes in General Practice. A comprehensive file with all the day’s events and more, and additional interview questions is provided for you to take away. Lunch and refreshments included in course fee of £215.

Round 2 Online support and Preparation: £75
Due to popular demand GP Select has provided support for Round 2 of the selection process. Candidates will get the original course booklet which explains the whole selection process, goes through in detail what the examiners are looking for when marking and importantly practice role play scenarios and written questions (with guide answers).
For this nominal fee candidates will also benefit from online support from the facilitators, where they are able to send their written questions to be critiqued and advice given on how to improve. Candidates are expected to practice their role play scenarios with friends/family. However any queries or advice with regards to them can also be sought.
This is a great opportunity to gain personal support from one of the experienced GP Select facilitators and improve yourself before the all important Round 2 selection!!!
